The mission of the BGCA is "to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens." Four key characteristics of a club are essential in exerting positive impact on the life of a child. These also are requirements for opening a satellite Boys & Girls Club:

• Open Daily
• Professional Staff
• Available/Affordable to All Youth
• (Dues average $5 to $15 per year)

The Boys & Girls Club of America serves nearly 5 million boys and girls, supervised by more than 50,000 trained professional staff, at 4,300 club locations throughout the nation. Its success stories are many. The goal of the Boys & Girls Club of Brandon is to make use of the expertise of the national association and the local chapter to enchance the lives of the youth living in and around Brandon. We want to help our young people develop success stories of their own.
